tex-gyre-bonum – A font family that extends URW Bookman L

The Gyre Bonum fam­ily of serif fonts is based on the URW Book­man L fam­ily. The orig­i­nal font, Book­man (or Book­man Old Style), was de­signed by Alexan­der Phemis­ter in 1860.

The stan­dard faces of Bonum have been greatly ex­tended, and con­tain nearly 1100 glyphs each. The fam­ily is avail­able both in Adobe Type 1 and in OpenType for­mats, and sup­port (for use with a va­ri­ety of en­cod­ings) is pro­vided. Viet­namese char­ac­ters were added by Han The Thanh.
