META – Incorporate pictures in source

META is a set of plain and macros that you can use to de­fine both the text and the fig­ures in a sin­gle source file. Be­cause META sets up two way com­mu­ni­ca­tion, from to and back from to , draw­ing di­men­sions can be con­trolled by and la­bels can be lo­cated by . Only stan­dard fea­tures of and are used, but two runs of and one of are needed.
