Fxpicture – Dashed, dotted and dash-dotted line styles for the picture environment
fxpicture adds dashed, dotted and dash-dotted lines to LaTeX’s picture environment. It builds on pict2e (the more modern version of picture), and gives it two declarations, \linestyle and \dashpattern. Like \linethickness, they last until the end of the group, and they apply to every line that pict2e strokes, from \line and \vector to \oval, \circle and Bézier curves. The same features are implement into the picture editor on fxEditor. e.g.
\setlength{\unitlength}{1mm}
\begin{picture}(40,12)
\linestyle{dotted}
\put(0,10){\line(1,0){40}}
\thicklines
\put(0,5){\line(1,0){40}}
\linethickness{1.2pt}
\put(0,0){\line(1,0){40}}
\end{picture}
