Amsopn – Typeset mathematical operator names
Part of the AMS-LaTeX distribution, this package defines a command \DeclareMathOperator that may be used to define commands like the LaTeX built-in commands \log and \lim; the command \operatorname allows ad-hoc operator names in the body of a document.
