I am pleased to announce the release of the v1.8a update to IEEEtran.cls (the class file for IEEE journal and conference authors). Version 1.8a features a heavily reworked compsoc mode to more closely comply with the latest standards of the IEEE Computer Society. A bug that affected the abstract, index terms and diamond line for compsoc technotes has also been fixed. See the changelog.txt file for full details. Enjoy! Mike Shell
This package is located at http://mirror.ctan.org/macros/latex/contrib/IEEEtran/ More information is at http://www.ctan.org/pkg/ieeetran We are supported by the TeX Users Group http://www.tug.org . Please join a users group; see http://www.tug.org/usergroups.html .
