Michael Shell sub­mit­ted an up­date to the IEEE­tran pack­age. Ver­sion num­ber: 1.8b Li­cense type: lp­pl1.3 Sum­mary de­scrip­tion: Doc­u­ment class for IEEE Trans­ac­tions jour­nals and con­fer­ences An­nounce­ment text:
I am pleased to an­nounce the re­lease of the v1.8b up­date to IEEE­tran.cls (the class file for IEEE jour­nal and con­fer­ence au­thors). Ver­sion 1.8b fea­tures a new com­soc mode for IEEE Com­mu­ni­ca­tions So­ci­ety pub­li­ca­tions. The IEEEe­q­nar­ray col­umn spec­i­fi­ca­tions are now tol­er­ant of ac­tive " (or other punc­tu­a­tion cat­code changes) as with ba­bel un­der the ger­man or nger­man lan­guage modes. The IEEE­tran­tools.sty pack­age has also been up­dated (v1.5) to re­flect the changes in the IEEE­tran.cls v1.8b code base. Fi­nally, the IEEE­tran BibTeX (.bst) pack­age's have been up­dated to v1.14. There is a new CTLuse_url field to the IEEE­tranBSTCTL con­trol en­try type to al­low user con­trol of the dis­play of URLs. The jour­nal name string def­i­ni­tions file has been brought up to date and into 2016. See the re­spec­tive changelog.txt files for full de­tails. En­joy! Mike Shell
