Elia Arnese Feffin submitted the chemplants package. Version: 0.9.8 2019-11-19 License: lppl1.3c Summary description: Symbology to draw chemical plants with TikZ Announcement text:
The LaTeX distribution has a lot of packages to do the wildest things one can imagine, but when one wants (or has) to draw schematics of chemical process, he or she realises that there is a missing tool in the box. The chemplants package is here to fill that void. It exploits the facilities of the TikZ package to provide symbols and styles to be used to draw process flow diagrams of chemical processes.
The package’s Catalogue entry can be viewed at https://ctan.org/pkg/chemplants The package’s files themselves can be inspected at http://mirror.ctan.org/graphics/pgf/contrib/chemplants/

chemplants – Symbology to draw chemical plants with TikZ

This package offers tools to draw simple or barely complex schemes of chemical processes. The package defines several standard symbols and styles to draw process units and streams. The guiding light of the package is the UNICHIM regulation.

All of the symbols and styles are defined using tools of the TikZ package, thus a basic knowledge of the logic of this powerful tool is required to profitably use chemplants.
