combgames-tikz
Version 1.0, 2026-10-28.
TikZ boards for combinatorial games, including Domineering, Clobber, Hackenbush, Hex, Amazons, Toads and Frogs, and Phutball. Load with \usepackage{combgames-tikz}.
Install combgames-symbols as well: this package loads it automatically. Other dependencies are iftex, expl3, xparse and PGF/TikZ. For a local installation or Overleaf project, copy combgames-tikz.sty and the runtime files listed in the combgames-symbols README.
See combgames-tikz-doc.pdf for commands, token tables and examples. Run pdfLaTeX on combgames-tikz-doc.tex until references stabilize (normally two or three runs) to rebuild it.
The development package was called cgt-board. Replace that name in usepackage with combgames-tikz. Board command names have not changed.
The manual's source-and-result format follows the combgames manual by Aaron N. Siegel and David Wolfe. The Christmas-fixture examples refer to Urban Larsson, Richard J. Nowakowski and Carlos P. Santos, "A complete solution for a nontrivial ruleset with entailing moves": https://arxiv.org/abs/2304.00588v1

Combgames-TikZ – TikZ boards for combinatorial games
This package draws combinatorial game boards using TikZ. It includes Domineering, Clobber, Amazons, Hackenbush, Hex, Toads and Frogs, Phutball and other games, with color variants and facilities for defining additional board tokens. It replaces the PostScript board drawings of combgames and adds further games. It requires and automatically loads the companion package combgames-symbols. The manual provides illustrated examples and token tables.
