Web2C – Conversion programs and supporting code to compile TeX in C

Web2C (sometimes spelled Web2c) is the basis of TeX Live and perhaps other distributions for Unix-like systems. Web2C is not a TeX distribution in its own right.

Web2C is not distributed separately, but rather constitutes a central part of the sources of the TeX Live distribution.
