Datemultical – Named dates, calendar conversion, and date formatting for LaTeX

This package provides a unified interface for defining, converting, and formatting named dates in multiple calendar systems in LaTeX. It provides a built-in TeX backend supporting the Gregorian, Solar Hijri, and Lunar Hijri calendars under supported TeX engines, and an extended LuaLaTeX backend that additionally interfaces with lua-calendrica to support a wide range of historical, astronomical, and traditional calendar systems. Dates can be stored under user-defined names, converted between supported calendars, and retrieved through a common field-based interface. The package provides predefined date styles and customizable formatting patterns, including calendar-specific month and weekday names, week information, and leap-year, leap-month, and leap-day fields. Persian localization and high-level Persian date and weekday wrappers are also provided.
