Version 1.02 adds a number of enhancements to the math italic add-in to newtxmath. (Version 1.08 of newtx is required.)

garamondx – ‘Expert’-like extensions to URW Garamond, and maths italic
The package adds small caps, f-ligatures and old style figures to URW GaramondNo8. The package also provides a matching maths italic add-on for use with newtxmath.
The package makes use of the etoolbox package.
