Date: February 16, 2011 8:07:44 PM CET
On Wed, 16 Feb 2011 Pavel Farar submitted an update to the ptserif package. Summary description: PT Serif font and LaTeX support. License type: other-free Announcement text:
This package contains LaTeX support for the font PT Sans. - In the TeX Font Metric files changed the width of some accented letters (the width is now exactly the same as that of the respective unaccented letter). It was done just for the encoding IL2 and not for T1. Here is the list of changes: PT Serif Bold: Lcaron, tcaron PT Serif Bold Italic: Lcaron The letter tcaron in PT Serif Bold was narrower than t! The changes in PT Serif are smaller than changes in PT Sans. This change is interesting just for Czech/Slovak users. Related package: ptsans

ptserif – PT Serif font and support

This package contains support for the font PT Serif developed by ParaType for the project “Public Types of the Russian Federation”, and released under an open user license.

The fonts are included in this distribution, in TrueType format and as converted Type 1 format (as kindly allowed by ParaType). The fonts provide coverage of the T2* and X2 encodings, and partial coverage of T1 OT1, TS1 and IL2 (sufficient for typesetting text in Czech and Slovak languages — the purpose of encoding IL2).

This package is now obsolete; users should seek the paratype bundle in its place.
