New on CTAN: kinematikz
Kinematikz is a LaTeX package to draw kinematic chains and mechanisms using symbols inspired on the ISO standard and some other usually found in the literature. It relies deeply in the PGF/TikZ package and uses also some other LaTeX packages present in CTAN and distributed within TeX Live.
This package is located at https://mirrors.ctan.org/graphics/pgf/contrib/kinematikz More information is at https://www.ctan.org/pkg/kinematikz
Thanks for the upload. For the CTAN Team Manfred Lotz CTAN is run entirely by volunteers and supported by TeX user groups. Please join a user group or donate to one, see https://ctan.org/lugs .
kinematikz – Design kinematic chains and mechanisms
This package provides functionalities to draw kinematic diagrams for mechanisms using dedicate symbols (some from the ISO standard and others). The intention is not to represent CAD mechanical drawings of mechanisms and robots, but only to represent 2D and 3D kinematic chains. The package provides links, joints and other symbols, mostly in the form of TikZ pic objects. These pics can be placed in the canvas either by a central point for joints, and start and end points for some links.
