The goal of this package is the simplest possible provision of OpenStreetMap maps. In the simplest case, the specification of the address is sufficient. The package loads the map using the \write18 feature, which you must activate to use this package. The image will be downloaded by an external Lua script. You can use this script, as well as the attached bash script also from the command line. License: LPPL Changes in v1.1: - Bugfix: problem in URL with \usepackage[utf8]{inputenc} reported by: Ulrike Fischer - added makefile and install.bat for easy manual installation
This package is located at http://mirror.ctan.org/macros/latex/contrib/getmap More information is at http://www.ctan.org/pkg/getmap We are supported by the TeX Users Group http://www.tug.org . Please join a users group; see http://www.tug.org/usergroups.html .

getmap – Download OpenStreetMap maps for use in documents

The package provides a simple interface to OpenStreetMap, and to Google Maps “map images”. In the simplest case, it is sufficient to specify the address you need (if you don’t, the package will use its own default).

The package loads the map image using an external lua script (invoked via \write 18: must be running with \write 18 enabled).

The (“external”) lua script may be used from the command line; a bash version is provided.
