CTAN Update: xesearch

Date: August 18, 2019 7:28:13 PM CEST
Yuri Robbers submitted an update to the xesearch package. Version: 0.2 2019-04-24 License: lppl Summary description: A string finder for XeTeX Announcement text:
The package xesearch has been updated to deal with changes in internal variables in newer versions of xetex. The change has been implemented in such a way that it is fully backwards compatible with older binaries, and - as far as these particular variables are concerned, forwards compatible with future xetex binaries as well. Any packages that depend on xesearch - at the moment xeindex is the most notable one - will require this update too.
The package’s Catalogue entry can be viewed at https://ctan.org/pkg/xesearch The package’s files themselves can be inspected at http://mirror.ctan.org/macros/xetex/generic/xesearch/
Thanks for the upload. For the CTAN Team Petra Rübe-Pugliese

xesearch – A string finder for

The package finds strings (e.g. (parts of) words or phrases) and manipulates them (apply any macro), thus turning each word or phrase into a possible command.

It is written in plain and should thus work with any format (it is known to work with and Cont).

The main application for the moment is XeIndex, an automatic index for XeLaTeX, but examples are given of simple use to check spelling, count words, and highlight syntax of programming languages.
