This package contains macros to support a user to enter a document on
a baseline grid. It contains four files for this task: The first is
required for any text, the second is needed for display math mode and
unusual cases of inline math mode, the third handles insertions, e.g.,
footnotes and topinserts, and the fourth boxes in paragraphs. A fifth
file checks some requirements.

All primitives of TeX and all macros of plain are kept. The package
provides new macros for problematic control sequences. Only the new
macros should be used to structure the document; otherwise the grid
might be destroyed.

The package consists of the following files:

plaingridT.tex     -- macros to type straight text on a baseline grid 
plaingridM.tex     -- add support for math and boxes in vertical mode
plaingridI.tex     -- add support for insertions and a ragged bottom
plaingridB.tex     -- add support for boxes in horizontal mode
plaingridX.tex     -- extra file that can be loaded after one of the other if
                      one wants to check the requirements for this package
		      (nothing is fixed, only violations reported)
plain-grid-doc.pdf -- instructions
plain-grid-doc.tex -- the source of plain-grid-doc.pdf
README             -- this file
