luatexbase: A compatibility version =================================== luatexbase v1.0: ================ This major change to luatexbase accompanies an update to the LaTeX2e kernel (2015/10/01). The updated kernel directly supports LuaTeX allocations and makes the same ability available to plain TeX as ltluatex.sty. The code here now provides a back-compatibility layer for existing code using existing luatexbase interfaces. Authors are encouraged to migrate to direct use of LaTeX2e kernel/ltluatex interfaces. The code here is now maintained by David Carlisle and Joseph Wright, who thank Élie Roux, Manuel Pégourié-Gonnard and Philipp Gesang for their work on the original implementation of luatexbase. luatexbase v1.1: ================ - More fully support priority selection, required for working of ctex package. luatexbase v1.2: ================ - Another fix for a specific issue! luatexbase v1.3: ================ - More hotfixes!

luatexbase – Basic resource management for LuaTeX code
The LaTeX kernel (LaTeX2ε 2015/10/01 onward) builds in support for LuaTeX functionality, also available as ltluatex.tex for users of plain TeX and those with older LaTeX kernel implementations. This support is based on ideas taken from the original luatexbase package, but there are interface differences.
This ‘stub’ package provides a compatibility layer to allow existing packages to upgrade smoothly to the new support structure.
