"mh" bundle split up into "mathtools" and "breqn" bundles

Date: August 7, 2014 12:28:20 PM CEST
The well known "mh" bundle has been split into the mathtools bundle maintained by Lars Madsen and the breqn bundle maintained by Will Robertson. Version numbers/dates: mathtools: 2014-08-04 breqn : 0.98c / 2014-06-10 License type: lppl1.3 Announcement of the mathtools bundle:
The mathtools bundle consists of the mathtools and empheq packages (formerly a part of the mh bundle). Both packages supplement the amsmath package. New in this release: * initial release of the mathtools bundle * change in maintance Mathtools: * changed contact information for bugs and comments * workaround for ~\(...\) when mathic option is active * added comment about \mathopen{} in relation to \DeclarePairedDelimiterX Empheq: * changed contact information for bugs and comments
The "breqn" bundle comprises the breqn, flexisym, and mathstyle packages.
These packages are located at http://mirror.ctan.org/macros/latex/contrib/mathtools/ http://mirror.ctan.org/macros/latex/contrib/breqn/ More information is at http://www.ctan.org/pkg/mathtools http://www.ctan.org/pkg/empheq http://www.ctan.org/pkg/mhsetup http://www.ctan.org/pkg/breqn http://www.ctan.org/pkg/flexisym http://www.ctan.org/pkg/mathstyle However, the display of the description texts seems to be a bit "buggy" at the moment. mathstyle – Manage mathematics typesetting style

The package performs two functions:

  • to make sub- and superscript operations macros, which has the effect of making their behaviour uniform and more readily understandable; and
  • to take advantage of the lack of infix operations (such as \over) in to redesign the control of mathematical typesetting style, and to rationalise the way \mathchoice and dependent mechanisms work.

The package offers support for breqn and is part of the bundle of the same name.
