CTAN has a new package: regstats This package allows to count the number of used registers (counter, dimen, skip, muskip, box, token, input, output, math families, languages, insertions) and compare these to the maximum available number of such registers.
This package is located at http://mirror.ctan.org/macros/latex/contrib/regstats/ . regstats – Information about register use
The package will report number of used registers (counter, dimen, skip, muskip, box, token, input, output, math families, languages, insertions), and will compare the number to the maximum available number of such registers.
