Summary description: Draw graphs of functions in 2D, using TikZ and LuaLaTeX
Announcement text:
tkz-fn draws graphs of functions with TikZ; all computations are done by Lua, so the package requires LuaLaTeX. It is the successor of tkz-fct: gnuplot, fp.sty, tkz-base and --shell-escape are no longer needed. All macros begin with \tkzFn, so tkz-fn and tkz-fct can be loaded together. Features: - curves y = f(x), parametric and polar curves, interrupted at vertical asymptotes and where the function is not defined; - tangent lines (with one-sided tangents), areas under or between curves, Riemann sums (left, right, mid, inf, sup); - points on curves, coordinates, labels, vertical and horizontal lines, data plots; - values, derivatives, integrals and Riemann sums computed by Lua and printed in the text; - numbers in American (3.14, (a, b)) or French (3,14, ]a ; b[) format; - axes as in school textbooks, with arrows at one or both ends, or "box" axes as with pgfplots, selected by an option; - optional bridge to tkz-elements: points defined by tkz-fn are exported to the table z. The documentation is available in American English (tkz-fn-en.pdf) and in French (tkz-fn.pdf).

Tkz-fn – Draw graphs of functions in 2D, using TikZ and LuaLaTeX
The package draws graphs of functions in 2D as simply as possible,
using TikZ and Lua. It is the successor of tkz-fct:
gnuplot, fp.sty and
tkz-base are no longer needed; every computation
is done by Lua and the document is compiled with LuaLaTeX. The drawings are the
kind used in high school mathematics; the presentation (French or American conventions,
box
axes as with pgfplots) is
chosen with options.
