CTAN update: luamplib

Datum: 3. Oktober 2026 08:06:49 MESZ
Dohyun Kim submitted an update to the luamplib package. Version: 2.44.1 2026-10-02 License: gpl2 Summary description: Use LuaTeX’s built-in MetaPost interpreter Announcement text:
* fix externalize functionality for the cases when: - '--lua=foo.lua', for instance, is a command-line option - 'luatex' is not in the PATH * [doc] be more precise about the directory where external files are saved * [doc] fix the explanation about the 'externalize=true' option * Basically, externalize functionality now uses one big external image file rather than several small files to reduce the PDF file size and improve the compilation speed. But when you modify already externalized code chunks, small individual files will be generated and be included in the PDF file. So it is a good idea to delete the external files if you have modified lots of code chunks after the initial run of externalization.
The package’s Catalogue entry can be viewed at https://ctan.org/pkg/luamplib The package’s files themselves can be inspected at https://mirrors.ctan.org/macros/luatex/generic/luamplib/
