Summary description: TikZ-native shapes and anchors for classical physics diagrams
Announcement text:
tikzphysics 1.2.0 adds reusable per-object defaults, native to[over pulley=P] connections, wedge contact and tangent/normal anchors, and mechanics primitives including supports, pendulums, and motion arrows. The new show anchors, show keys, and physicshelp features provide in-picture discovery of supported keys and anchors. A rewritten manual includes a beginner quickstart, complete systems, and a 31-feature reference. Migration: spring is now a path decoration, used as \draw[spring] (A) -- (B);, instead of a spring node. Spring leads may be zero. Blocks default to 1cm square and pulleys to 1cm diameter. This release also fixes prism centroid and face-midpoint anchors.
The package’s Catalogue entry can be viewed at https://ctan.org/pkg/tikzphysics The package’s files themselves can be inspected at https://mirrors.ctan.org/graphics/pgf/contrib/tikzphysics/

TikZphysics – TikZ-native shapes and anchors for classical physics diagrams
The package extends TikZ with reusable shapes, styles, keys, and geometric anchors for classical-physics diagrams. It provides contact surfaces, straight and circular ramps, blocks, springs, pulleys, supports, pendulums, motion arrows, and optical mirrors, lenses, slabs, and prisms. Features use ordinary TikZ node, path, and pic syntax with reusable default styles. Named and parametric anchors help compose larger diagrams, while in-picture reference cards expose supported keys and anchors.
