Location on CTAN: /macros/latex/contrib/nag Summary description: Detecting obsolete commands and packages License type: lppl Announcement text:
Changes in version 0.5: * new option "orthodox" finds even more reasons to bother the user: commands used as environments and vice versa. * fixed bug in package detection. * hopefully fixed scoping bug, yet again. * changed configuration file names to free up extension. * shuffled documentation to include the configuration files.
Thanks for the upload. For the CTAN Team Rainer Schöpf

nag – Detecting and warning about obsolete commands

Old habits die hard. All the same, there are commands, classes and packages which are outdated and superseded. The nag package provides routines to warn the user about the use of such obsolete things. As an example, we provide an extension that detects many of the “sins” described in l2tabu.
