CTAN update: tkz-fn
Datum: 4. November 2026 10:10:59 MEZ
Alain Matthes submitted an update to the
tkz-fn
package.
Version: 1.01c 2026-11-03
License: lppl1.3c
Summary description: Draw graphs of functions in 2D, using TikZ and LuaLaTeX
Announcement text:
[2026/11/03 — version 1.01c] Added \tkzFnImplicit[options]{F(x,y)}: curves defined implicitly by F(x,y) = 0, written as an expression or as an equation ({x^2 + y^2 = 4}). Marching squares on a grid of the window, crossings computed by bisection, false crossings at discontinuities removed, double points handled. Options level (level curves F(x,y) = c, list accepted), samples, domain, ydomain, refine, clip. Documentation: new section "Implicit curves" / "Courbes définies implicitement" in both languages.
This package is located at https://mirrors.ctan.org/graphics/pgf/contrib/tkz-fn More information is at https://ctan.org/pkg/tkz-fn
Thanks for the upload. For the CTAN Team Manfred Lotz CTAN is run entirely by volunteers and supported by TeX user groups. Please join a user group or donate to one, see https://ctan.org/lugs .

Tkz-fn – Draw graphs of functions in 2D, using TikZ and LuaLaTeX
The package draws graphs of functions in 2D as simply as possible,
using TikZ and Lua. It is the successor of tkz-fct:
gnuplot, fp.sty and
tkz-base are no longer needed; every computation
is done by Lua and the document is compiled with LuaLaTeX. The drawings are the
kind used in high school mathematics; the presentation (French or American conventions,
box
axes as with pgfplots) is
chosen with options.
