CTAN update: xlistings
Date: November 7, 2026 8:56:16 AM CET
Florian Sihler submitted an update to the
xlistings
package.
Version: 1.1.0
License: lppl1.3c
Summary description: Opinionated extensions to the listings package
Announcement text:
xlistings v1.1.0 This release adds code-link to the bundle. code-link collects definitions while a document is typeset and links every occurrence of them in listings, xlistings and minted code. It works without xlistings as well and has a manual of its own, code-link-doc.pdf. Changes to xlistings: - the indentation in front of a highlighted segment (|warn|, |err|, |info|, ...) stays outside the highlight, also on further lines of a segment that spans several lines and next to escapes - a digit after a letter stays part of the identifier (int32) instead of being highlighted as a number - the thin space that opens inline code is dropped at the start of a paragraph; new \xlstInlineLead and \xlstInlineKeys - the LaTeX language has better word boundaries (round-precision is one word) and the new key xlstcsbreak - inline listings are more robust against escapes The package is licensed under the LaTeX Project Public License 1.3c. Sources, issue tracker, and documentation: https://github.com/EagleoutIce/xlistings
This package is located at https://mirrors.ctan.org/macros/latex/contrib/xlistings More information is at https://ctan.org/pkg/xlistings
Thanks for the upload. For the CTAN Team Manfred Lotz CTAN is run entirely by volunteers and supported by TeX user groups. Please join a user group or donate to one, see https://ctan.org/lugs .

Xlistings – Opinionated extensions to the listings package
This package extends listings with an easier front-end for code blocks: language-sensitive highlighting of numbers (including hexadecimal literals, exponents and type suffixes), a drop-in minted environment, per-language wrapper macros and environments, non-selectable line numbers based on accsupp, language badges, and opinionated definitions for a set of common languages that are loaded on demand.
The bundle also contains code-link, which collects definitions while a document is typeset and links every occurrence of them in listings, xlistings and minted blocks. It works without xlistings as well.
