New on CTAN: mahjong-tiles
`mahjong-tiles` is a new LaTeX package for typesetting Japanese/Riichi Mahjong tiles, hands, and discard rivers using compact MPSZ notation. This initial CTAN release provides: * `\mahjong{...}` for typesetting Mahjong hands; * `\mahjongriver{...}` for discard-river layouts; * support for red fives, face-down and blank tiles, gaps, rotated called tiles, stacked sideways tiles, and concealed-kong shorthand; * configurable tile size and tile-back colour; * support annotations above the tiles; * PDF tile artwork and a documented `.dtx/.ins` source distribution. The package is derived from Daniel Schmitz's mahjong package and includes tile artwork derived from FluffyStuff's project.

mahjong-tiles – A LaTeX package for typesetting Japanese/Riichi Mahjong tiles
mahjong-tiles is a LaTeX package for typesetting Japanese/Riichi Mahjong tiles with compact MPSZ notation and extended commands. The package provides \mahjong{...} for inline hands and \mahjongriver{...} for discard rivers, while supports the manzu, pinzu, souzu, and honor suits, red fives(aka), face-down and blank tiles, gaps, called-meld rotation markers, stacked sideways tiles, concealed-kong shorthand, configurable tile size, and recoloured tile backs. mahjong-tiles is derived from Daniel Schmitz's mahjong package and keeps the general approach of rendering small PDF tile assets through a LaTeX parser, while adding notation conveniences and layout support for common Riichi Mahjong examples.
