Date: May 13, 2007 4:11:53 PM CEST
A new package has been installed at tug.ctan.org and should soon be at your favorite mirror. Thanks for the upload, Jim Hefferon Saint Michael's College ..................................................................... The following information was provided by our fellow contributor: Name of contribution: verbatimcopy Author's name: Lars Madsen Location on CTAN: /macros/latex/contrib/verbatimcopy Summary description: Small package to preform a verbatim copy of one text file and save it in another. License type: lppl (the documentation source is not available) Announcement text:
This package provides \VerbatimCopy{in}{out} that will enable LaTeX to take a verbatim copy of one text file, and save it under another name. Be careful when using \VerbatimCopy, it will overwrite the output target without warning. The package is based on an idea posted on comp.text.tex by Ulrich Diez.
This package is located at http://tug.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/verbatimcopy . More information is at http://tug.ctan.org/cgi-bin/ctanPackageInformation.py?id=verbatimcopy (if the package is new it may take a day for that information to appear). We are supported by the TeX Users Group http://www.tug.org . Please join a users group; see http://www.tug.org/usergroups.html .

verbatimcopy – Make copies of text documents from within

This package provides \VerbatimCopy{in}{out} that will enable to take a verbatim copy of one text file, and save it under another name.

The package provides a means to specify the output directory to be used, but does no checking and may therefore overwrite an important file if used injudiciously.
