CTAN has a new package: digiconfigs
digiconfigs provide an easy way to create 'configurations' i.e. matrices of \circ's and \bullet's See documentation for more info.
See this package at http://tug.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/digiconfigs . You may get a better network connection by using a CTAN mirror near to you; see http://tug.ctan.org/tex-archive/README.mirrors . Our service is supported by the TeX Users Group http://www.tug.org . digiconfigs – Writing "configurations"
In Stochastic Geometry and Digital Image Analysis some problems can be solved in terms of so-called “configurations”. A configuration is basically a square matrix of \circ and \bullet symbols. This package provides a convenient and compact mechanism for displaying these configurations.
