Starting with version v1.2 nesting of inputted documents is allowed by default and doesn't require an explicit option any more.

docmute – Input files ignoring LaTeX preamble, etc
Input or include stand-alone LaTeX documents, ignoring everything but the material between \begin{document} and \end{document}.
