Date: January 24, 2021 8:49:01 AM CET
Andrew Stacey submitted an update to the penrose package. Version number: 1.4 License type: lppl1.3c Summary description: A TikZ library for producing Penrose tilings Announcement text:
The new feature provided in this update is the ability to define tiles in a document that can then be used to create tiling diagrams beyond just the Penrose tiles supplied in the package. It is also updated to work from the latest version of spath3.
This package is located at http://mirror.ctan.org/graphics/pgf/contrib/penrose More information is at https://www.ctan.org/pkg/penrose
Thanks for the upload. For the CTAN Team Manfred Lotz CTAN is run entirely by volunteers and supported by TeX user groups. Please join a user group or donate to one, see https://ctan.org/lugs .

penrose – A TikZ library for producing Penrose tilings

This package provides a TikZ library for drawing Penrose tiles. It currently supports the kite/dart, rhombus, and pentagon tile sets. There are two main methods for their placement: one that automatically generates a tiling, and one that allows for “by hand” placement. Furthermore, the tiles themselves can be deformed and will still (hopefully!) fit together in the correct fashion.

This package is now superseded by package tilings, which deals with more extensive tiles than just the Penrose tile sets.
