Hugo Gomes submitted the pgf-spectra package. Version: 1.0 License: lppl1.3 Summary description: Draw continuous or discrete spectra using PGF/TikZ Announcement text:
The purpose of this package is to draw the spectrum of elements in a simple way. It is based on the package pst-spectra, with similar options, but also adding some extra options. It relies on PGF/TikZ to draw the desired spectrum, continuous or discrete. As in pst-spectra, there are data available for the spectra of 99 elements and their ions (from the NASA database). It also allows the user to draw a spectrum with their own personal data.
The package's Catalogue entry can be viewed at http://www.ctan.org/pkg/pgf-spectra The package's files themselves can be inspected at http://mirror.ctan.org/graphics/pgf/contrib/pgf-spectra/ We are supported by the TeX users groups.
