The datemultical package is now available on CTAN. datemultical provides a unified interface for defining, converting, and formatting named dates in multiple calendar systems in LaTeX. It includes a built-in TeX backend for the Gregorian, Solar Hijri, and Lunar Hijri calendars, as well as an extended LuaLaTeX backend using lua-calendrica for a wide range of historical, astronomical, and traditional calendars. The package provides field-based date retrieval, customizable date formatting patterns, predefined date styles, calendar-specific month and weekday names, and support for leap-year, leap-month, and leap-day information. Persian localization and high-level Persian date and weekday commands are also included. Version 0.1.0 is the initial release of datemultical.

This package provides a unified interface for defining, converting, and formatting named dates in multiple calendar systems in . It provides a built-in backend supporting the Gregorian, Solar Hijri, and Lunar Hijri calendars under supported engines, and an extended Lua backend that additionally interfaces with lua-calendrica to support a wide range of historical, astronomical, and traditional calendar systems. Dates can be stored under user-defined names, converted between supported calendars, and retrieved through a common field-based interface. The package provides predefined date styles and customizable formatting patterns, including calendar-specific month and weekday names, week information, and leap-year, leap-month, and leap-day fields. Persian localization and high-level Persian date and weekday wrappers are also provided.
