Changes in v2.8 2026-11-01: – New key remember to use stored contents before storing them. – New key getstored for \mergesc and new keys for \foreachsc. – New programming interface for expl3. – Unknown keys and package options raise an error. – Check positive integers in start, step, stop and width-tab. – Fix negative index in \typestored, \meaningsc and \mergesc. – Fix \mergesc with undefined sequences and index out of range. – Fix loading and file checks in ConTeXt and plain TeX. – Add regression tests for LaTeX, plain TeX and ConTeXt. – Update requirement to LaTeX release 2026-11-01.

Scontents – Stores LaTeX contents in memory or files
This package stores valid LaTeX code, including verbatim material, in memory
(sequences) using the l3seq module of expl3. The
stored content can be used as
many times as desired in the document, written to external files and shown in
verbatim style, with a verbatimsc environment compatible with tagged PDF. The
contents of a sequence can be used before they are stored, as with
\label and \ref, and expl3 code can read them with a
programming interface. It works with LaTeX, plain TeX and ConTeXt MkIV.
