## [3.1.0] - 2026-09-15 ### Added - Add the 1987 version of the GB standard styles: `gbt7714-1987-numeric` and `gbt7714-1987-authoryear`. - Add the `applicationnumber` field for patents to distinguish it from the issued number. ### Changed - Change the punctuation style to `GB` for the 2015 and 2005 versions, aligning with the 2025 version. - Journal titles in the 2015 and 2005 versions are covnerted to sentence case. - Change the entry type identifier for preprints to "EB" for the 2015 and 2005 versions. - Change the default parentheses for author-year citations to full-width characters (`citepunct = full`). ### Fixed - Fix the capitalization of journal titles. - Fix the comma before name suffixes (e.g., "Jr"). - Names of Chinese authors written in Pinyin are not initialized in the 2005 version. - Fix the placement of standard numbers in the 2005 version. - Fix a false "empty year" warning ([#206](https://github.com/zepinglee/gbt7714-bibtex-style/issues/206)). ### Removed - Remove obsolete options from v1.*: `2015`, `2005`, `super`, `numbers`, and `authoryear`.

Gbt7714 – A implementation of China National Standard GB/T 7714

The package provides a comprehensive and configurable implementation of the Chinese National Standard GB/T 7714, Information and documentation-rules for bibliographic references and citations to information resources. The styles included in the package support both numeric and author-year citation systems, and are fully compatible with the natbib package for advanced citation commands and formatting. These styles are designed to automatically detect the language (Chinese or English) of each bibliographic entry and apply the appropriate localization. Additionally, the package exposes a range of configuration options, allowing users to easily adapt the output to the requirements of specific academic journals or institutions.
