Summary description: Typesetting mathematical programs (optimization models)
Announcement text:
mpformulation typesets mathematical programs (linear, integer and nonlinear optimization models) the way they appear in operations research journals: a named objective, a "subject to" line, and one constraint per line with its quantifier (for all i in I) and an equation number. Main features: - "subject to" and the final period of the model are added automatically; - numbering per constraint, per model with sub-numbers (1a, 1b, ...), or a single number for the whole model; labels for the model number and the model name; - constraints too wide for the line, e.g. in two-column journals, are reorganized automatically: the indent shrinks, the quantifier is broken at its commas or moved below, and optional break points can be given in long expressions and objectives; - optional alignment of the constraints on their relation symbol, and left-aligned quantifiers in a common column; - no page break after the objective or "subject to", nor before the last constraint. The package is configured with key-value options, globally or per model. The manual introduces each feature with an example.

Mpformulation – Typesetting mathematical programs (optimization models)
Typesets linear, integer and nonlinear programs as in operations research
journals: objective, automatic subject to
, one constraint per line with its
quantifier, per-constraint or per-model numbering. Constraints too wide for
the line are reorganized automatically, which suits two-column journals.
Optional alignment on the relation symbol and left-aligned quantifiers.
