This is the first release of chatui, a LaTeX package for typesetting AI chat transcripts as terminal, web, or desktop chat UIs, in light or dark theme. Features: - chatuser/chatassistant message bubbles - chatthinking reasoning traces, with arrow-bullet steps or plain paragraph mode - chattool tool-call traces, with api/cli/code call styles and JSON payload support - chatimage/chatfile attachments inside a message bubble - long conversations break cleanly across pages, chrome drawn once - fully customisable colours (plain xcolor names) and fonts Full manual: chatui-doc.pdf. This package typesets AI chat transcripts: user/assistant
messages, reasoning (thinking
) traces, tool-call traces, and file/image
attachments, styled as a terminal, web, or desktop chat UI, in light or dark
theme. It is meant for papers, reports, and documentation that need to show a
worked conversation with an AI assistant, including the reasoning and tool
calls behind a response.
