Inkyu Park submitted an update to the hangulmath package. Version: 0.9 License: ofl lppl1.3c Summary description: Hangul jamo as mathematical symbols Announcement text:
# hangulmath — Hangul jamo as mathematical symbols Version 0.9 (2026-10-21) Mathematical notation draws almost entirely on Latin and Greek letters. `hangulmath` adds the 40 letters (jamo) of modern Korean Hangul as math symbols: 14 basic consonants, 5 double consonants, 10 basic vowels and 11 compound vowels. Each symbol has an official name following the Revised Romanization of Korean (`\giyeok`, `\nieun`, ...), and consonants have a four-letter alias that is easy to remember (`\giug`, `\niun`, `\diud`, `\liul`, ...). Vowels are written as pronounced with a trailing `h` (`\ah`, `\eoh`, `\uah`). ## Requirements * **pdfLaTeX, XeLaTeX or LuaLaTeX.** With pdfLaTeX (and `latex` + dvips/dvipdfmx) the bundled Type 1 fonts are used; with XeLaTeX and LuaLaTeX the bundled OpenType fonts are used through `fontspec`. The output is the same. * LaTeX kernel 2022-06-01 or later. * No Korean font needs to be installed: the symbols come from the bundled font `hangulmath-sans`.

Hangulmath – Hangul jamo as mathematical symbols

Mathematical notation draws almost entirely on Latin and Greek letters. This package adds the 40 letters (jamo) of modern Korean Hangul as math symbols: 14 basic consonants, 5 double consonants, 10 basic vowels and 11 compound vowels.

Each symbol has an official name following the Revised Romanization of Korean (\giyeok, \nieun, ...), and consonants have a four-letter alias that is easy to remember (\giug, \niun, \diud, \liul, ...). Vowels are written as pronounced with a trailing h (\ah, \eoh, \uah). \hangulsum, \hangulint and \hangullima turn any symbol into a sum-, integral- or limit-like operator.

The package requires or Lua. The symbol glyphs come from a bundled subset of Noto Sans CJK KR (SIL OFL), so no Korean font needs to be installed.
