GRAPHICAL CAPABILITIES BaKoMa TeX includes an interpreter for *PostScript Level 2*, which is tested for compatibility with output from popular software such as: MetaPost, Adobe Illustrator 10, Adobe Streamline 4.0, Mathematica 4, MatLab, CorelDraw 10, CorelXARA, HIGZ, PageDraw, FrameMaker, ImageMagick, etc. All DVI back-ends support the same special interface compatible with well known Rokicki's DVIPS, including processing PostScript embedded into DVI files (PSTricks, PSfrag, XyPic, etc.). The system includes Graphics Import Filters for the following formats: PostScript, HPGL, DXY, JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, PCX, MSP, BMP. FONTS BaKoMa TeX supports the following font formats: * PostScript Type 1 (including Multiple Masters), * PostScript Type 3, * TrueType, * OpenType, * TeX PK/VF. Features: * Edits several BIB files simultaneously, that is very useful to handle situation when `\bibliography' command includes several files. * Easy to use - Help window provides user with useful hints for every editing mode; * Provide user with hints for preparing fields of different types; * Chroma codidng for fields: `Required', `Optional', and `Ignored'. * Tells user when one or more `Required' fields are missed. * Quick insertion of reference on string into the currently edited field; * Quick insertion of citation into your document. User Interface -------------- * Improved `Insert' menu. + `Complete Word' (Ctrl+Enter) LaTeX Syntax completion command. Context sensitive, adding/removing words, definable extra code. + `LaTeX Environment ...' (Alt+Enter) now it is implemented as dialog (instead of submenu) whicj lets you: (1) add/remove environments immediately in dialog (2) modify default arguments for environment. + `Edit Bibliography ...' Provide simple way to start edit of bibliography: In case of \bibliography command launches BibEdit, In case of `thebibliography' environment opens file with him. If no bibliography in you document it helps to create it. + `\cite' (Alt+C) inserts `\cite' LaTeX command. However, at second call (when \cite{} is already under cursor) it launches BibEdit or dialog with list of available bibliography entries. + `Insert Indexing Stuffs' lets you prepare document for indexing in one click. + `\ref' (Ctrl+R) and `\pageref' (Ctrl+P) like to \cite command, at second click, show list of labels in current document. + `Graphics|Graphics File' (inserts `\includegraphics') detects that cursor is already under some `\includegraphics' command and edit it instead of inserting another command. DVI Viewer ---------- * Support for `colorlinks' option of HyperRef</i> package. * `Document Properties|Outline' - more robust refreshing outline. * `File|Read PDF' and `File|View Postscript' commands check existing and date of PDF/PS file to suggest user (re)generate it if one is absent or older then DVI file. * `File|Edit Source TeX File' command is disabled when TeX source isn't available for currently opened DVI file. In advance, it works with non standard file extensions (DTX, DRV, LTX, etc.). Also, cursor isn't jumped into BOF when file is already opened. * Fixed Problem with mishandling negative deltas by ExtTextOut under Win98. * Handling kerning in Readable mode was refined. TeX4HT ------ * Copying imported PNG and GIF images into TeX4HT subdirectory (see texmf/tex/latex/tex4ht/tex4ht.fix). bakoma – A distribution for MS-Windows VISTA/XP/2000

BaKoMa supports two compatible user interfaces: (1) BaKoMa Word - Visual (True WYSIWYG) Editor; (2) Text Editor + DVI Viewer - Clasical IDE. The system supports the use of scalable fonts (OpenType, TrueType, PostScript Type 1 and Type 3). It supports import of EPS, PDF, FIG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, HPGL, DXY, PCX, MSP, BMP, and WMF graphical formats. In advance, PostScript enabled graphics engine handles such packages as PSTricks, PSfrag, PowerDot, Prosper, Beamer, etc. The system supports generation of PDF, SVG, PNG, HTML, PS, and printing on any printer supported by a driver under MS-Windows.
