This pack­age pro­vide all the files needed to use the stan­dard Win­dows fonts in T1 en­cod­ing. The fonts sup­ported are: Arial Franklin Gothic Ta­homa Comic Sans Ge­or­gia Times Courier New Palatino Lino­type Ver­dana And the ding­bats fonts Wingding Web­d­ings All these fonts are dis­tributed with Win­dows XP. This pack­age is es­pe­cially suited for Mik­tex v2.4 (or higher) run­ning on Mi­crosoft Win­dows XP. It should work with other ver­sion of Win­dows.

Win­fonts – Use fonts dis­tributed with Win­dows XP

The bun­dle pro­vides the files nec­es­sary to use the TrueType fonts Arial, Comic Sans, Courier New, Franklin Gothic, Ge­or­gia, Palatino Lino­type, Ta­homa, Times and Ver­dana as text fonts in T1 en­cod­ing. It also pro­vides the means to use the fonts Wingding and Web­d­ings as sym­bol fonts.

All these fonts are dis­tributed with Win­dows XP; it is pos­si­ble to use them di­rectly with pdf. The MiK pre­viewer yap will also use the fonts if they are called up in a DVI file; how­ever, there is no pro­vi­sion for cre­at­ing PostScript files that use the fonts.
