psfont – Alternative font handling in LaTeX
The package offers a simple means of selecting fonts. It provides options for specifying any default font, checks that the choice(s) are valid, and if anything is unspecified supplies an appropriate font. The package also contains all parts of the psnfss which are not covered by this general concept (i.e., the pifonts, mathptm and two fd-files for Adobe Symbol and Adobe Zapf Dingbats). The package is specific to Adobe Type 1 fonts.
Distribution is with the (rather more general) altfont package.
