protext – A MikTeX-based TeX installation for MS-Windows

ProTeXt is a TeX dis­tri­bu­tion for Win­dows, based on MiKTeX.
ProTeXt guides the MiKTeX in­stal­la­tion via a short pdf doc­u­ment (avail­able in Ger­man, English, French and Ital­ian), which pro­vides click­able links to in­stall the var­i­ous com­po­nents, along with ex­pla­na­tions. ProTeXt also adds a few tools that con­tribute to the us­abil­ity of MiKTeX: TeXnicCen­ter, cur­rent Ghostscript, GSview, and a 30-day trial ver­sion of WinEdt.
