pagefoots – Footnote numbering per page

The code re­sets foot­note num­bers for each page, and ‘num­bers’ foot­notes us­ing \fn­sym­bol. It needs two passes of LaTeX to en­sure the renum­ber­ing is cor­rect (as usual, it com­mu­ni­cates in­for­ma­tion be­tween passes us­ing the .aux file).
Note that the pack­age was writ­ten for (old) LaTeX 2.09; its per­for­mance can­not be guar­an­teed with cur­rent LaTeX.
