lametex – A PostScript translator for a subset of

Lam is a di­rect PostScript gen­er­a­tor for a (very lim­ited) sub­set of . One of its orig­i­nal de­sign goals, the in­clu­sion of PostScript com­mands di­rectly in a doc­u­ment, has been su­per­seded by PSTricks. How­ever, one of the side ef­fects of a spe­cial-pur­pose trans­la­tor for is the abil­ity of that trans­la­tor to pro­duce dif­fer­ent kinds of out­put, in­clud­ing plain ASCII.

The sys­tem only un­der­stands a sub­set of , and is not set up to use Type 1 fonts; how­ever, it is ca­pa­ble of do­ing some in­ter­est­ing tricks.
