Major update which resolves some previous bugs, simplifies a lot of the syntax on the typical user's end, and adds some long-requested functionality, including the ability to redefine existing definitions and print glossaries in pre-defined block styles (as for a book).
The package’s Catalogue entry can be viewed at https://ctan.org/pkg/leipzig The package’s files themselves can be inspected at http://mirror.ctan.org/macros/latex/contrib/leipzig/

leipzig – Typeset and index linguistic gloss abbreviations

The leipzig package provides a set of macros for standard glossing abbreviations, with options to create new ones. They are mnemonic (e.g. \Acc{} for accusative, abbreviated acc). These abbre can be used alone or on top of the glossaries package for easy indexing and glossary printing.
