On Wed, 6 Jul 2005, Heiko Oberdiek submitted an update to his package

  thumbpdf

to CTAN.

Thumbpdf provides support, using Perl, for thumbnails in pdftex and 
dvips/ps2pdf using ghostscript using ghostscript to generate the 
thumbnails which get represented in a TeX readable file that is read by 
the package thumbpdf.sty to automatically include the thumbnails. Works 
with both plain TeX and LaTeX.
 
Location on CTAN:support/thumbpdf/ 
License remains LPPL.

Changes of v3.8:
 * Fix because of pdfTeX 1.30.
