CTAN Mark­down: Unordered Lists

Unordered lists are made up of lines con­tain­ing a star or a mi­nus in the first col­umn – fol­lowed by a space.

The start­ing char­ac­ter does not have any in­flu­ence on the char­ac­ter used in ren­der­ing the list item.

Note that the in­den­ta­tion of the first level by one space is ig­nored. This is for con­ve­nience but con­sid­ered to be a bad prac­tice.

Cas­cad­ing

Unordered lists can be cas­caded. This is ac­com­plished by start­ing the item line with two ad­di­tional spaces.
