greetings

thank you for maintaining a very helpful web presence. it is checked regularly to see if there are any interesting updates and if there are, printouts of the source are made for personal study.

Begginer User

I'm happy using LyX :D but there are some things that make me feel frustated. How can I install a new style of bibliography? How can be that ctang.org doesn't have a simple general manual that explains how to's?

T-Coffee Shading does not work

At least not for me. I keep getting the error message

" ! Improper alphabetic constant. <to be read again> \T@coffee0 l.225 \end{texshade} " The code I wrote is: \begin{texshade}{9seqali.aln} \shadingmode[9seqali.asc]{T-Coffee} \fingerprint{380} \end{texshade}

Using other shadings does seem to work just fine.

Works, but only with a little trick...

Thanks for this, I just started documenting my Lua code code with his. However, it did not work from the start. Itried the examples, and also they did not work 100%. Then I noticed a certain pattern, and in fact my documentation works if I insert the following at the beginning of the file:

function class() -- dummy function to get this to work return "nothing" end X = class()

Bug of feature?

texmaker

I wanted to try out your example to see if I could compile it (I work with texmaker for mac). However, it shows errors

How to contact the author of txfonts

I already found the email address...

How to contact the author of txfonts

I noticed that the package txfont generates a \Lambda if I call $\openbox$. Enclosed you find a minimal example:

\documentclass[a4paper,10pt]{article} \usepackage[utf8]{inputenc} \usepackage{amsthm} \usepackage{txfonts} \begin{document} The following commands yield
\begin{center} \verb \openbox = \openbox
\verb $\openbox$ = $\openbox$, \end{center} \end{document}

Unfortunately I could not find the Email address of the maintainer Young Ryu in the documentation. How can I contact him to send him this "bugreport"?

How to Install to LyX?

Installation procedures should be listed under http://www.lyx.org/Download I've done this on Windows 7 by just downloading the installer and running it. Of course, I already had a TeX distribution installed (TeX Live, available from http://www.tug.org/texlive/).

Alternatively, I would suggest using a LyX mailing list for specific problems. See: http://www.lyx.org/MailingLists
