pgf-blur is a library for the TikZ/PGF graphics package. It adds blurred/faded/fuzzy shadows to TikZ/PGF. The method is similar to the pst-blur package for PSTricks (and the author is the same)

pgf-blur – PGF/TikZ package for "blurred" shadows

The package adds blurred/faded/fuzzy shadows to PGF/TikZ pictures. It is configured as a TikZ/PGF library module.

The method is similar to that of the author’s pst-blur package for PSTricks.
