CTAN Update: lgrx

Date: July 6, 2012 2:09:42 PM CEST
On Thu, 5 Jul 2012, Günter Milde submitted an update to the lgrx package. Summary description: Greek text with the LGR font encoding License type: lppl Announcement text:
New version of the lgrx bundle: New package alphabeta.sty to make \alpha, \beta, ... math commands available in text mode, too. Support for accented Greek unicode characters with textalpha.sty. Documentation update. Note: the TeXLive 2012 pre-release had the file lgrenc.dfu in the wrong place, resulting in non-functional Unicode support. This is fixed in the latest pre-release (and also in the texlive-lang-greek package in Debian/unstable).
This package is located at http://mirror.ctan.org/macros/latex/contrib/lgrx . More information is at http://www.ctan.org/pkg/lgrx (if the package is new it may take a day for that information to appear). We are supported by the TeX Users Group http://www.tug.org . Please join a users group; see http://www.tug.org/usergroups.html .
Thanks for the upload. For the CTAN Team Rainer Schöpf

lgrx – Obsolete package for Greek in text

The LGRx bundle provided packages and definitions for typesetting Greek text with fonts in the LGR encoding.

It has been made obsolete by the combination of greek-fontenc and greek-inputenc.
