CTAN Update: collectbox

Date: July 23, 2011 5:12:00 PM CEST
On Sat, 23 Jul 2011 Martin Scharrer submitted an update to the collectbox package. License type: lppl Announcement text:
The new macro \collectboxto supports the storage of a following brace group in a box register. The new macro \collectboxcheckenv{<name>} allows to check if the defined macro is used as environment (by \begin{<name>}) and adjusts the included \collectbox or \collectboxto etc. to support this usage.
This package is located at http://mirror.ctan.org/macros/latex/contrib/collectbox . More information is at http://www.ctan.org/pkg/collectbox (if the package is new it may take a day for that information to appear). We are supported by the TeX Users Group http://www.tug.org . Please join a users group; see http://www.tug.org/usergroups.html . Thanks for the upload. For the CTAN Team Rainer Schöpf

collectbox – Collect and process macro arguments as boxes

The package provides macros to collect and process a macro argument (i.e., something which looks like a macro argument) as a horizontal box rather than as a real macro argument.

The “arguments” are stored as if they had been saved by \savebox or by the lrbox environment. Grouping tokens \bgroup and \egroup may be used, which allows the user to have the beginning and end of a group in different macro invocations, or to place them in the begin and end code of an environment. Arguments may contain verbatim material or other special use of characters.

The macros were designed for use within other macros.
